The Sanchaya

Board a ferry in modern Singapore and disembark an hour later onto the talcum sands of a bygone era. Classic colonial at its best, The Sanchaya also pays full respect to its Southeast Asian location, with a graceful, colonnaded great house and swooping peak-roofed Singaporean- and Thai-style villas scattered about the serene resort. The bounty of art and antiques across the property was lovingly collected by the lady of the manor from a trove of countries including Brunei, Burma, Malaysia, Laos and Vietnam.
