ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN
In the heart of Makati, JJ Acuña / Bespoke Studio’s Manila base feels less like a conventional office and more like an intimate creative retreat. It’s a space that reflects JJ’s design philosophy — personal, grounded, and human.
Natural light floods through generous windows, filtering across warm wood, brushed brass and leafy greens. Instead of closed rooms, glass partitions create openness and flow, encouraging both focus and conversation. Art fills the space — works by Filipino and Asian contemporaries that speak to culture, creativity and emotion — while vintage pieces and found objects lend texture and soul.
Photographing the studio meant tracing the rhythm of JJ’s everyday process: sketches scattered across the desk, the interplay of reflection and shadow, the gentle energy that animates the space. It’s less about presentation, more about presence — a working home for ideas that begin quietly and grow into something lasting.
My lens has followed JJ Acuña’s designs across the Philippines and beyond — explore more of my work capturing his inspired spaces at home and abroad.
