ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN

At Celera, the design is as much a part of the menu as the flavours. Conceived in collaboration with Chefs Nicco Santos and Quenee Vilar, designer JJ Acuña drew on rustic barn-house inspiration — layering natural materials like raw and charred timber, textured tiles and abaca against polished concrete to create a sense of warmth and restraint. An open kitchen blurs the line between diner and craft; every corner feels inviting, every surface purposeful. A quiet tension exists in the space: elevated casual meets understated artistry. Organic curves, rich textures and measured lighting set an atmosphere that feels refined, yet familiar.

My lens has followed JJ Acuña’s designs across the Philippines and beyond — explore more of my work capturing his inspired spaces at home and abroad.
