I’ve been working with the team at SanDisk on some social media, public relations and electronic direct marketing projects over the past couple of weeks. The first of these initiatives to roll-out was an email campaign sharing with SanDisk customers some of my personal travel photography insights and advice. As anyone who knows me will attest, I am passionate about photography and love sharing it with others, and collaborating with my partners at SanDisk (and Nikon and Lowepro) is a great way to engage with other professional and amateur image makers and visual storytellers from around the world.
See more of my work with SanDisk, including the ‘Behind The Lens’ campaigns from both this year and last year, my work with the SanDisk Storytellers and the content series, SanDisk: Telling Stories From Memory.

Loved your talk and photos. 2 questions. When I go on vacation (tours) I can only take so much photo equipment. My Nikon D750 gets very heavy after 4-5 hrs out taking pictures. Computer too much added weight. What would you suggest for the nonprofessional to use to backup sd cards? This year I have wd wireless pro and will use a colorspace. 2) how do you know when you have found your own technique? I am not sure what to look for to say I keep doing that. It’s me. Like you shooting in the sun. I have finally found my photo passion – street photography.
Thank you for joining the webinar today, Tom. These are great questions. (1) The lightest (and least expensive) option with your Nikon D750 would be to buy a few extra SD Cards so that both slots on your camera are filled. Then set your camera to write to both SD Cards (so essentially your second SD Card is an instant back-up). (2) This is a more difficult question to answer — it’s kind of like love; you know it when it happens. 😉 But if your passion is street photography, then go with it. And work at a signature or technique that you practice and repeat and see if it becomes “yours”. Best of luck and thank you again for listening to my talk and writing me today.
