I have worked with Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia for a number of years, shooting a variety of covers, fashion features, destination stories and ‘Last Look’ pages for them.
It is a publication that I love, and I thoroughly enjoy working with the team at T+L‘s Bangkok office. So when the Art Director asked recently if I was available to photograph a cover fashion feature at The Sanchaya, a brand new luxury resort that recently opened on the nearby island of Bintan, I was more than happy to gather my team and hop on a ferry to Indonesia.
The result of our 24 hours spent on Bintan is the March 2015 cover of Travel + Leisure‘s annual ‘It List’ issue, featuring the world’s best new hotels (which, unsurprisingly, includes The Sanchaya).
Together, my team and I made a total of eight photographs inside and around The Sanchaya property; the rest of this series will be published in editions of T+L later this year.
