My friend and frequent creative collaborator, hair and make-up artist Andrea Claire, came to me recently with a photograph made by iconic Scottish lensman, Harry Benson: Dolly Parton touching up her makeup in front of a mirror, her glorious big hair and beautiful curves captured in silhouette; I loved the concept. Setting out to make Andrea’s beautifully-style hair the centrepiece of my photographs, and adding a Warhol pop-art inspiration for colouration, this is our Hair Apparent.
